Funniest name of the day

"...an Albuquerque man whose name was Snaphappy Fishsuit Mokiligon got the go-ahead from the appeals court to change his name to Variable."
What's your funniest name? My "porn" name, (which, for some reason is a combo of your first pet's name and a relatives' name) would be "Moby Johnson".

OK, that last post I was drunk.

I had to be at work the next morning, I was an HOUR late. It just reminded me how much I hate my job, as I got there at 6:10a and didn't leave 'til 4:30p.
Still hungover.
I tooooold Sully, "I DON"T DRINK ALCOHOL!"
Beer says, "When you are full, stop drinking, smile and be sleepy."
Liquor says, "Lets do the craaaaaaazy!!!!"
So Sully forced Rumplemintz on me at 11:37p, after beers, on a school nite.
Yeesh. My second time late to work this year.
Since I started working there, actually. Six fucking years ago.
Sully was three hours late.
I don't care anymore about that job, I just wanna grow a garden.
Mikey might get to buy Knote's boat and permits, I would so love to be fishing again.

"I will make you fishers of mens' souls", said Jesus.
Never mind that nonsense, I just wanna club some halibut and retire in comfort on my land.

In other news, my love likes to seriously torment high-end salesmen of cars and jewelry.
(During a test drive)
"What do you MEAN you never heard of George Carlin? Get out of the CAR!"
(screech, car stops near ditch)
"No, I'm serious, GET OUT OF THE CAAAAAAR."

I'm soooooo in LOVE.

Ken's Completely Made Up on a Whim Curry

For "Turbo":
2 cups dried organic garbanzo beans
6 cups red lentils
2 Tbsp pomace olive oil
2 tsp salt
1/4 cup mild red curry paste
1 16 oz can "lite" coconut milk
soy sauce to taste
Tapatio Salsa Picante Hot Sauce to taste
dry yellow curry powder
Cover garbanzos with adequate water, add 1 tsp of the salt and 1 Tbsp of the oil.
Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer two plus hours, until garbs are brown, soft and sugary.
Drain and set aside without rinsing.
Just before garbs are done, start the red lentils. Again, cover with adequate water ("Mt Fuji" method, place palm flat on rice or lentils and cover with water 'til your middle knuckle resembles the slopes of Mt Fuji) and add remaining salt and oil. Boil, then simmer until lentils start to fall apart, twenty plus minutes after heat is reduced.
Add cooked and drained garbanzos, coconut milk, red curry paste and simmer five more minutes. Season with soy sauce, curry powder and Tapatio hot sauce, garnish with cilantro and serve over saffron rice.

Parvathy Baul

My love and I went to see Parvathy Baul last night, a singer, painter and storyteller from West Bengal. Her music was incredible, a "blend of devotional Hindu, esoteric Sufi and Vajrayana Buddhist influences" according to the blurb in our local paper that first piqued my interest. She was amazing, with a voice that sent shivers down my spine, gave me goosebumps and lulled me into trance-like states. Though she sang mostly in Bengali, Hindi and even Sanskrit, she would introduce each song with an English synopsis. She looks as though she's never cut her hair in her life. The performance took place at the private residence/Ashram of Jim and Lalitha Capellini in Birch Bay. There was a potluck first, so I spent a couple of hours beforehand trying my best to come up with some Indian food. I had some success, as most of my red lentil/ chickpea curry was cleaned out quite thoroughly. Met some good people and left with a warm glow that carried over through today. I hope to encounter these folks again.
Two of her instruments, a one stringed thingy for drone and a small drum attached to her hip.
Parvathy and hostess Lalitha.
Her beautiful smile
Her spinning, dreads flailing as she sang and played.
The beautifully wrought "jingle bangles" (my term) on her feet, her steps were as precise as could be, in order to provide perfect percussion.
Jim and Lalithas front yard,
and backyard.
Spectacular statue, don't know the devotional term for this one.
